We live in a day when many or most Southern and Independent Baptists have departed from the true teaching of the Lord's New Testament Baptist Church. True Baptists have always taught and practiced that the assembly is local and visible. The teaching of universal church and open communion is foreign to the scriptures. There surely is a falling away as recorded in II Thessalonians 2:3 and a departing from the faith as recorded in I Timothy 4:1."
THIS LITTLE BOOK is sent forth for the purpose of making known the little-known history of those FAITHFUL WITNESSES of the Lord Jesus, who, as members of the CHURCH JESUS BUILT, " And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death" (Rev. 12:11).
